Everyone loves the color -- a rich golden brown with golden highlights throughout -- and the results are dependable and long-lasting. No surprises or disasters. However, the cumulative damage to my fine, medium-length hair is considerable. Although it feels great immediately after using the dye and conditioner (included), the next time I wash my hair it is tangled and dry. The ends are frizzy. I now use only baby shampoo, condition heavily, and don't blow dry or curl my hair, in an effort to minimize the damage. Maybe all permanent hair colors are this harsh...I'm looking into semi-permanent hair colors which, I hope, are gentler.If your individual hair strands are thick or coarse, you might be OK. If you keep your hair short, you should be OK.
